Model 10 Ring - A

Here's a heady piece for my family, a sculptural celebration of sorts.

I wanted the arms to squeeze tiny springs into submission and the jaws to open. Of course I did. But small springs weren't strong, and the arms too delicate to suffer the in's and out's of my pockets. After making it work, I decided it didn't work. Not in the real world, being thrown around daily. So, this small homage to the venerable Model 10 bracelet is so in design and name alone. I think that's enough.
